Sweatshop by @Littleloud – A Teachers Guide

As part of the Super Learning Day resources for Kevin Grand and Sir Thomas Wharton Community College I have created a Teacher’s Guide to playing Littleloud’s ground breaking “serious game” Sweatshop.

Download the guide here.

We’re using Sweatshop as a fantastic example of how games can make us question the way we live our lives, challenging preconceptions and of course, incorporate controversial and taboo topics in an interactive way that no other medium can.

The theme to the Super Learning Day is Fairtrade and Co-operative Values and the students have to design their game, characters, stories around those issues. Sweatshop hopefully will influence them towards ideas and game mechanics that do it in an effective and fun way.
